Technical Programme Manager (m/f/d)
Your Tasks
- Take technical responsibility for all projects within the programme area and identify new technologies, innovation opportunities and technical development paths for future solutions
- Guide and support system engineers and project managers in complex technical matters and ensure an effective and appropriate deployment of engineering resources
- Identify technical risks and issues, develop and implement pragmatic solutions and monitor adherence to schedules and budgets throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead smaller projects or technical studies and coordinate knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer among system engineers within and across programmes while acting as a technical mentor and trainer
- Ensure a consistent and continuously improving engineering workflow across the programme and contribute to the strategic development of the programme including identifying new business opportunities and enhancing existing products and solutions
- Support bid preparation and proposal leadership including the definition of technical statements of work with customers and represent the programme during customer meetings, workshops, conferences and industry events
Your Qualifications
- Completed university degree such as a Master's, Diploma or PhD in engineering, physics or an equivalent field
- At least ten years of relevant professional experience with proven technical leadership in space projects and strong expertise across multiple system engineering domains including ground systems, mission analysis, antennas, system design, system analysis, interface engineering, requirements engineering and validation or verification
- Strong commercial understanding related to schedules, budgets, quality and controlling and the ability to balance priorities across cost, quality and time
- Excellent communication skills, strong collaboration and conflict resolution abilities, a high sense of responsibility and a reliable and well structured working approach
- Confident and credible professional presence with natural authority, a role model mindset, team orientation, integrity and the ability to transfer technical knowledge effectively
- Experience leading larger technical project teams combined with strategic, solution oriented and customer focused thinking and very good German and English language skills
