- Strength and Conditioning Coach
Description
Primary Responsibilities
Implement age- and ability-appropriate strength and conditioning programs.
Lead athletes through safe, organized, and effective group training sessions.
Monitor athlete technique, progress, workload, and overall readiness.
Maintain a safe, professional, positive, and inclusive training environment.
Adjust programming based on athlete needs, training cycles, competition schedules, and medical guidance.
Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, staff, and families, as appropriate.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Current certification from a recognized strength and conditioning or fitness organization.
At least one year of coaching experience is preferred.
Experience coaching athletes in a large group setting.
Knowledge of strength training, speed development, agility, mobility, and injury-prevention principles.
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with athletes and staff from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on team needs, including evenings and weekends.
Successful completion of a background check is required.
