The role is responsible for providing support and guidance to the Corporate Wellness Clients and the implementation of the Corporate/Comprehensive Wellness Program through effective oversight of the implementation of department policies, initiatives and leadership in a changing work environment. This role is responsible for wellness design development and implementation of multi-level programs for Corporate/Comprehensive Wellness Clients through collaboration with Corporate clients and Ochsner internal departments to adapt programs based on changing work demands and expectations. The role will also be responsible for coordinating schedules to provide coverage across both Executive Health and Corporate Wellness, conduct monthly rounding meetings and provide back-up coverage and support across all areas of operation.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education
- Required - Bachelor's in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or equivalent health and wellness degree
- Preferred - Master's in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or equivalent health and wellness degree
Work Experience
- Required - 2 years experience in corporate wellness or health program development and implementation or in healthcare services.
Certifications
- Required - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
- Ability to and experience leading diverse work teams, developing an organizational strategy for program excellence, and engaging partners.
- Professional interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and relate to executive management, professionals, and business and community leaders.
- Excellent leadership and self-direction skills, good judgment in handling difficult situations, and good organizational, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to travel throughout and between facilities.
Job Duties
- Responsible for program design, development and implementation of Corporate/Comprehensive Wellness programs.
- Responsible for providing support and guidance to Corporate clients.
- Responsible for meeting with each Health Coordinator/Corporate clients as needed to provide guidance in the development of appropriate health initiatives and ongoing management of each Corporate client.
- Review quarterly engagement reports and identify areas of opportunity.
- Re-assess and adjust implementation strategies to meet company client's expectations.
- Review quarterly summary reports written by the coordinators and provide feedback and guidance.
- Responsible for maintaining Corporate/Comprehensive Wellness clients and providing coordination of those programs to include program design, development and implementation (Number of clients is determined by manager).
- Coordinates program services including biometric screenings, Hello Health at work seminars, corporate challenges, Pathway to Results Weight Management and health coaching programs and any future program services.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and its business partners including all provider to provide excellent customer service and to foster new business
- Attend onsite client events.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid. The incumbent has no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases .
Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
