Presentation Design Specialist

(This full-time hybrid position is open to candidates residing in Tampa, Atlanta, or Charlotte.)


Position Overview

The Presentation Design Specialist will serve as Fisher Phillips' expert in visual communication, transforming complex legal content into compelling, visually engaging presentations and marketing materials. This role requires a unique blend of design expertise and the ability to distill sophisticated legal concepts into clear, impactful graphics and slide decks that resonate with clients and business audiences. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver who can work collaboratively with attorneys and the marketing team to elevate the visual impact of all client-facing and business development materials. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Creative Services.


Key Responsibilities

Presentation Design & Development

• Design and develop high-quality, visually compelling slide decks for client presentations, pitches, webinars, and conferences.
• Transform dense legal content and complex information into clear, engaging visual narratives.
• Collaborate with attorneys to understand key messages and translate them into effective visual storytelling.
• Develop infographics, diagrams, flowcharts, and data visualizations that simplify complex legal concepts.
• Apply design principles (hierarchy, typography, color theory, composition) to enhance message clarity and impact.
• Ensure all presentations maintain brand consistency while adapting to different contexts and audiences.

Graphic Design & Illustration

• Create original illustrations, icons, and graphics that convey legal concepts in accessible, engaging ways.
• Design custom infographics that transform data and legal processes into visual narratives.
• Develop diagrams and visual frameworks for explaining legal strategies, compliance processes, and risk management concepts.
• Design marketing collateral including one-pagers, brochures, email graphics, and digital assets.
• Create social media graphics and visual content for digital platforms.
• Produce event materials including signage, booth graphics, and promotional materials.
• Maintain and expand the firm's visual asset library.

Brand Execution & Creative Development

• Ensure all design work adheres to brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries.
• Develop innovative design solutions that differentiate the firm's visual presence.
• Contribute to the evolution of the firm's visual identity and design standards.
• Stay current on design trends, particularly in professional services and legal marketing.

Project Management & Collaboration

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
• Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Incorporate feedback efficiently while maintaining design integrity.
• Coordinate with external vendors and printers for production of marketing materials.
• Manage design file organization and asset management systems.

Technical Expertise

• Master Microsoft PowerPoint for sophisticated presentation design.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for high-end design work.
• Work efficiently with other design and prototyping tools as needed.
• Optimize designs across multiple channels. (digital, print, web)
• Maintain organized file structures and version control.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional design experience with strong emphasis on presentation design.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and slide deck design.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Comfort working within a PC-driven environment.
• Portfolio demonstrating ability to transform complex information into clear, compelling visuals.
• Experience creating infographics, diagrams, and data visualizations.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and visual hierarchy.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Minimal travel of up to 5% for team meetings or professional development.

Preferred

• Experience in professional services, legal, consulting, or B2B environment.
• Knowledge of legal terminology and ability to quickly grasp legal concepts.
• Experience with motion graphics or animation for presentations.
• Familiarity with presentation software like Prezi, Canva, or similar tools.
• Understanding of accessibility standards in design. (WCAG compliance)
• Photography or video editing skills.
• Experience with brand identity development.

• Before/after examples showing transformation of content. (if available)
• Range of styles and applications.
