Description
We are seeking an experienced Relationship Manager - Non‑Bank Financial Institutions to manage and expand relationships with Non‑Bank Financial Institution (NBFI) clients, including securities firms, fund houses, asset management companies, insurance entities, trust companies, leasing companies, and other licensed financial institutions with strong Mainland China linkage.The role focuses on client coverage, business origination, balance‑sheet growth, and risk‑controlled execution, delivering comprehensive banking solutions in alignment with internal credit and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities Client Coverage & Relationship Management
- Manage and develop a portfolio of Non‑Bank Financial Institution clients, with a primary focus on Mainland China-related NBFIs.
- Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with treasury, trading, finance, and management teams at client institutions.
- Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring service quality, revenue growth, and long‑term relationship stability.
- Originate and execute a broad range of banking solutions, including:
- Bilateral and syndicated loans (including MLAB participation)
- Institutional and structured financing
- Deposits, structured deposits, and liquidity solutions
- Cash management and settlement services
- Trade finance and structured products
- FX and interest rate risk management solutions (where applicable)
- Identify cross‑selling opportunities to increase wallet share and profitability.
- Prepare credit proposals, annual reviews, and transactional approvals in accordance with internal credit policies.
- Conduct financial and risk analysis on NBFI clients and transaction structures.
- Closely coordinate with risk, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure compliant and executable deal structures.
- Monitor asset quality and proactively manage risk and early warning indicators.
- Drive deposit mobilization and balance‑sheet optimization to support funding stability and income generation.
- Support institution‑level liquidity and treasury‑related business aligned with NBFI client needs.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
- Support KYC, AML, onboarding, and periodic client reviews.
- Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams for cross‑border and Greater China‑related transactions.
- 6 years or above of relevant experience in corporate banking, institutional banking, or NBFI coverage.
- Solid exposure to Non‑Bank Financial Institutions, such as securities firms, fund managers, asset managers, insurers, trusts, or leasing companies.
- Experience with Mainland China-related clients or cross‑border structures is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in relationship management, origination, and credit execution.
- Strong understanding of NBFI business models, funding requirements, and regulatory environment.
- Sound credit judgment with solid financial analysis and risk assessment capabilities.
- Results‑driven mindset with the ability to balance business growth and risk control.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work independently in a performance‑oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, or related disciplines.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, CPA are preferred.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required; proficiency in English is preferred.
