Description
Join our Japan Securities Services Product team as a Vice President. This role is a hybrid across Product and relationship management with offshore trustee partners (the role sits under Product). You will help deliver scalable offshore fund solutions for Japan clients, strengthen the client experience, and make complex, multi-step activities easy to plan and run.You will work closely with Client Service Managers and partners across Operations, Product, Sales, Legal/Compliance, and Technology in Japan and globally.
Job Responsibilities
- Own service outcomes related to solutions delivered in partnership with offshore trustees selected by Japan Securities Services clients.
- Build strong working relationships with offshore trustees and internal stakeholders; understand what matters most to trustees and to our clients.
- Lead governance routines (including in-person meetings) to track actions, share updates, and support ongoing satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate trustee relationship profiles and service documentation; complete periodic relationship reviews.
- Work with offshore trustees and internal teams to design solutions that meet evolving needs.
- Partner with adjacent Product teams and local/regional colleagues to drive synergies and improve operating efficiencies.
- Collaborate across Client Service, Operations, Product, Sales, and Technology (locally and globally) to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.
- Build influence with key partners across a wide range of functions.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Significant experience in Financial Services, ideally in Securities Services / custody / fund services, with proven experience in a senior role in Client Service, Implementation, Project Management, Product Development, or Operations.
- Experience in custody, trust banking, or securities services, with understanding of the Japanese market.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across functions and regions.
- Fluent Japanese and proficient English (written and spoken).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams with limited supervision.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Expertise in offshore trust structures and related industry practices impacting Japan clients.
- Willingness to learn the products and processes offered by Securities Services.
