- Ropes Specialist
Description
The Ropes Specialist involves managing and maintaining the Ropes Course. Responsibilities for the job include, but are not limited to, the following: ensure proper care/maintenance of equipment, ensure proper opening and closing of that activity area daily, planning age appropriate events and challenges for each camper, teaching skills to the activity staff while creating an enthusiastic work environment, providing leadership throughout camp, weekly duties rotation with other program staff, abiding by ACA standards. Pay is calculated on a weekly rate, starting at $345 a week.
- Record keeping and maintenance of supplies
- Running ropes activity for overnight camp in the morning
- Running ropes activities as scheduled in afternoon for overnight and day camp
- Maintaining a positive, safe, and educational working environment for ropes staff
- Inventory and passing on supply needs to A&L Coordinator
- Helping as needed with Overnight cabins once program area is prepped for next day and closed down
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Completed one year of college or equivalent. Preferred 21 or older, must have prior experience. Previous ACCT level 1 training preferred, current ACCT level 2 a plus. Site specific ropes course training will be provided. Must be able to live onsite in shared housing or commute to site daily.
