Description

The Department of Ophthalmology at Loyola University Health System, in partnership with Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, seeks a full-time Retina Specialist to join our growing academic Ophthalmology program. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical and surgical retina care while contributing to the department's missions of clinical excellence, education, and research. This opportunity offers the ability to build a robust retina practice within a nationally recognized academic health system, supported by a collaborative team of faculty, residents, and dedicated staff. Physicians provide care at the Loyola Outpatient Center, Hickory Hills Center for Health, and Edward Hines, Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital.

Requirements

Perform advanced retinal procedures, including intravitreal injections, laser treatments, and vitreoretinal surgery across Loyola Medicine's outpatient, ambulatory surgery, and hospital-based practice settings.
Diagnose and manage a wide range of retinal and vitreoretinal disorders.
Participate in the education and mentorship of medical students and Ophthalmology residents.
Engage in clinical, translational, and/or academic research activities.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
