Position Summary
The University of Utah General Surgery Residency Program is accepting applications for a research resident start on July 1, 2026. Applicants must have successfully completed PGY1 through PGY3 training in an ACGMEaccredited general surgery residency program and must be willing to complete PGY4 and 5 years at the University of Utah.

Requirements
Job Duration: 3 years (with annual contract, renewed based on eligibility for advancement and employment)

Eligibility Requirements
Completion of accredited PGY1, PGY2, and PGY3 surgery training.
Good standing in current residency program.
Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Utah

10. ACGME Milestones evaluations
11. Three Letters of Recommendation (sent directly to the program by current program coordinators or letter writers at gensurg-residency@hsc.utah.edu with subject line: Letter of recommendation-applicant name)
12. ECFMG Certification if applicable.
