Role Overview

We are seeking a Python Developer to join the Quant Implementation team, a global team that sits at the heart of the systematic trading business. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining alpha algorithms and portfolio construction processes, as well as resolving live trading challenges under demanding deadlines. You will collaborate closely with multiple investment and research teams, gaining exposure to a range of investment styles and asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Alpha Development: Design, develop, and maintain alpha algorithms and portfolio construction processes.
2. Research Verification: Verify research output and ensure efficient monetization of ideas in practice.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with multiple investment and research teams across various asset classes.
4. Problem Solving: Resolve live trading challenges under demanding deadlines.
5. Codebase Management: Contribute to a large and complex codebase, applying best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Experience: 4-6 years as a backend Developer.
2. Coding: Strong backend Python development skills at an enterprise level.
3. Data: Experience with SQL databases and working with large, complex datasets.
4. Analytics: Strong data manipulation and analytical skills.
5. Statistics: Good knowledge of statistics and ability to dive deep into problems.
6. Soft Skills: Practical approach to problem-solving, strong analytical skills, good communication, and detail-oriented.
7. Note: No trading strategies experience required.
