Cheshire Medical Center, part of Dartmouth Health, is seeking psychiatrists to join our growing behavioral health team in Keene, New Hampshire.
With opportunities spanning clinical care, consultation-liaison psychiatry and physician leadership, these positions offer the chance to make a meaningful impact while working within a collaborative community health system connected to an academic medical center.
Psychiatry Consult-Liaison Physician
Provide psychiatric consultation and treatment to patients across the Emergency Department and inpatient medical units, while also having opportunities to provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services through a collaborative care model in a primary care setting.
This role offers the opportunity to:
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and consultations across medical settings
- Support patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs
- Participate in outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management
- Collaborate with primary care, social work, nursing and other members of the care team
- Supervise psychiatric APPs and social work colleagues
- Participate in teaching, quality improvement and program development
- Help build sustainable behavioral health services for an underserved community

Medical Director of Psychiatry Services
Lead the continued development and expansion of psychiatric services at Cheshire Medical Center while working collaboratively with medical center and Dartmouth Health leadership.
This leadership opportunity includes:
- Providing clinical and administrative leadership for psychiatry services
- Partnering with Cheshire Medical Center leadership and Dartmouth Health’s Department of Psychiatry
- Supporting recruitment and development of psychiatrists, APPs and behavioral health professionals
- Providing clinical oversight and supervision
- Developing and strengthening behavioral health programs and services
- Building relationships with community treatment programs and partners
- Advancing quality improvement and innovative models of care
- Opportunities to maintain clinical practice alongside leadership responsibilities
