Description
Reporting directly to Phoebe Putney Health System President and CEO, the President of Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital will serve as the senior executive responsible for the hospital’s overall operational, clinical, and financial performance. The President will provide visible, hands-on leadership across a broad and complex operating platform. The organization is seeking an experienced hospital operator who genuinely enjoys the day-to-day work of running a hospital, remains energized by operational challenges, and is prepared to be fully present and deeply engaged in the life of the organization and the community of Albany.
The President’s direct leadership structure includes the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Director of Clinical Support Operations, and Director of Foundation and Volunteer Services. Through these leaders, the President has oversight of hospital operations, nursing, medical staff relationships, clinical support, care logistics, facilities, environmental services, food and nutrition services, guest services, and other essential hospital functions.
Requirements
Master’s degree in business or health administration.
Demonstrated leadership skills in past positions consistent with and necessary to carry out the mission and leadership philosophy of Phoebe Putney.
Demonstrated ability to build high functioning teams.
Demonstrated operational rigor producing metrics of success.
Preference will be given to leaders who have proven results allocating resources effectively, including both insourcing and outsourcing service arrangements.
A minimum of ten years of experience in significant administrative leadership position(s).
Demonstrated experience working closely with physicians, especially program development and/or partnerships, is required.
