Description
Yellow Umbrella is looking for a Physiotherapist to join our paediatric continence team.
This is a role for someone who enjoys working with children and families, and wants to make a genuine difference in an area that can be stressful, emotional and life-changing for families.
We support children with bladder, bowel and toileting concerns, helping them build confidence, independence and comfort in daily life. For many families, this work can be the difference between ongoing frustration and finally feeling understood, supported and on the right path.
You do not need to have previous paediatric continence experience. You do need to be curious, warm, thoughtful and interested in developing your skills in a focused area of paediatric practice.
You’ll be supported by our Clinical Director and Senior Physiotherapist, with training, mentoring and practical guidance as you grow into the role. You won’t be left to figure things out on your own.
We’re building a team that values kindness, good communication, practical support and high-quality care. We want this to be a place where clinicians feel supported to grow, develop confidence in their work and build meaningful long-term careers in paediatric practice.
The role includes family-centred assessments, telehealth consultations, in-clinic appointments, clinical planning, report writing and ongoing care. Telehealth is part of the model, particularly for initial information gathering and family support, with in-clinic care arranged based on each child’s needs.
At Yellow Umbrella, you’ll be joining an established service with consistent referrals and a waitlist already in place. You won’t need to build a caseload or market yourself. Your focus will be on providing thoughtful, high-quality care to children and families.
All admin is handled for you, including bookings, billing, appointment follow-up and sending reports. You’ll also have access to templates, systems and clear processes that support your work without taking away your clinical reasoning.
This role may suit a Physiotherapist who:
- enjoys working with children and families
- is interested in paediatrics, pelvic health, continence, or family-centred care
- wants mentoring and support in a specialised clinical area
- values flexibility, meaningful work and being part of a focused team
- is looking to build deeper expertise and confidence in paediatric practice
The role can be part-time or contract, with flexibility around days and scheduling.
The clinic is based in Sydney, with telehealth forming part of the role.
