Are you a Ph.D. scientist interested in taking your scientific expertise beyond the bench?
Our client, a fast-growing biotechnology company, is seeking Ph.D.-trained scientists with hands-on mouse model research experience to join its Business Development team. This is an opportunity to combine your scientific background with a client-facing career working with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies in areas including immuno-oncology, animal model gene engineering and preclinical pharmacology.
Previous business development experience is not required. This opportunity is especially well suited for scientists interested in transitioning from the lab into the business side of biotech while continuing to use their scientific expertise.
What You'll Do:
- Develop a strong understanding of the company's scientific technologies, products and services.
- Build relationships with scientists and decision-makers at biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
- Learn to identify customer research needs and connect them with appropriate scientific solutions.
- Develop new business opportunities and support customer discussions, proposals, negotiations and contracts.
- Attend scientific conferences, trade shows and industry events.
- Partner with Marketing to increase awareness of the company's capabilities within the life sciences community.
Requirements
What We're Looking For:
- Ph.D. in a bioscience-related field.
- Fluent Mandarin language skills required, including speaking and writing.
- Hands-on mouse model research experience required.
- Strong wet-lab and direct research experience preferred.
- Interest in building a career that combines biopharmaceutical science and business.
- Ability to communicate scientific concepts effectively and build relationships with scientists and industry professionals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, conferences and industry events.
- Previous business development or revenue-generation experience is a plus, but is not required.
- Candidates currently authorized to work in the U.S. under F-1 status with a valid EAD may be considered.
