Description
Buenos Aires is one of JP Morgan's key strategic hubs with over 3,500 employees supporting different areas like Operations, Technology, Finance, Credit Risk, Human Resources, Legal... among others, providing value-added services, products and solutions to our clients located in various countries around the world.The OTC Derivatives Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate settlement and reconciliation of OTC derivative transactions, proactively managing discrepancies and breaks, and ensuring ongoing compliance with policies, procedures and controls.
This role provides full operational support for OTC Derivatives traded globally, with exposure to high daily volumes and large notional amounts. The analyst is expected to consistently meet timelines and service delivery standards, mitigate risk through timely investigation and escalation, and collaborate closely with partners across the firm (e.g., Technology, Finance and other Operations teams) while identifying opportunities for process improvements and value-added initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Confirmation with clients of amounts to be settled in relation of coupons payments for Interest, Credit or Equity derivative trades;
- Pre-settlement investigations of discrepancies between client's and JPM calculations. Analysis of trade documentation to identify differences and follow up for resolution.
- Management of client's settlement instructions
- Post-settlement investigations of differences. Follow up with internal and external clients to close open breaks.
- Creation of daily/weekly metrics report for outstanding open breaks.
- Proactive ownership of problem solving for clients - own end-to-end issue resolution. Ensure timelines and client service delivery standards are continually achieved.
- Creation of your own relationship with the different teams that you interact with (Counterparties / Front Office / Middle Office ), partner with them on a day-to-day basis to perform more efficiently.
- Escalating issues in a timely manner. Build a culture of transparency and open, honest & clear communication.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Bachelor's degree
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of MS Office package
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Attention to detail.
