Maintenance Technician – Join Our Team!
We're looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help keep our residential facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and taking pride in keeping properties in top condition, we'd love to hear from you!
Position Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations for 10 residential homes throughout the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek areas. This role includes participation in a 1-week on-call rotation every 9 weeks. Company tools and transportation are provided.
What You'll Do
* Perform general maintenance and repair tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic HVAC troubleshooting
* Complete preventative maintenance to ensure homes and equipment remain in excellent working condition
* Respond promptly to urgent and emergency maintenance requests, including occasional after-hours needs
* Travel between multiple residential locations as needed
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
* Communicate effectively with leadership regarding repair needs, supply requests, and project updates
* Utilize basic computer skills for work orders, communication, and documentation
What We're Looking For
* Experience in general building maintenance or a related skilled trade
* Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, and painting
* Basic computer proficiency
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple homes
* Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergencies when needed
* Valid driver's license with a good driving record
* Ability to pass a criminal background check
* Strong troubleshooting skills and a dependable, proactive attitude
