Description
This job posting is for the massage therapist out there looking for a different kind of employer. Working in the massage industry in Charlotte for 16+ years, through my own personal experiences, I feel like I can provide the ideal work environment for a new or experienced Licensed massage therapist. I have held every role possible in this industry as a contractor, an employee, a manager of other employees, and an employer of other therapists.
I am looking for someone who is independent and autonomous. A person who is passionate about life. A person who loves massage and helping others reach their wellness goals. A person who has a mature communication style, is confident and is open to learning new things and accepting constructive criticism but is also able to relay constructive criticism.
Are you tired of having 2+ massage therapy jobs and working out of multiple locations? Are you tired of doing house calls or working from your home?
Running your own business is difficult, can take up a lot of time and is a huge risk. Have you ever wished to find a job or employer that is fun and easy going? I am that employer and the job I am offering is that job. I run a drama free business. Egos are checked at the door and we have an open line of communication at all times. It is an institution of growth and healing.
What we do matters and I strive to provide a safe space to facilitate our ability to change lives and have our lives change for the better because of it. I like to build community and that is what REDUX massage is about. I want to provide a community of bodyworkers and like minded practitioners in the Charlotte area and beyond, to the general public and each other. Who wants to join my team?

Pay Scale and Benefits
This is an employee position. A W2 will be required before the start of the job. I am open to full time or part time positions.
Every employee gets a 3 month trial period to determine if they are a good fit for the job. If both employee/employer decide it’s a good fit, then an employee agreement will be drafted.
Shifts will be a minimum 5 hours per day (3-4 clients max) and a maximum 8 hours per day (5-6 clients max). Services are full 60 or 90 minute massages with 15-30 minute breaks in between.
A part time position is 15-20 hours per week. A full time position is 30-40 hours per week.
Base pay is $10/hr. Every 60 minute service earns $30 extra and every 90 minute service is $45 extra. This ensures that all employees get paid for the time they are in the office (including breaks and lunch). Average tips earned fall in between 15-25%. Half of any $20 add-on services go to the therapist.
You will determine your own schedule based on scheduling blocks provided by REDUX.
Depending on continuing education and experience, there is a lot of room to grow and/or move into upper management.
There will be paid, mandatory monthly training sessions that last an average of 2 hours with a meal included.
Any continuing education courses required by REDUX will be paid by REDUX.
So, what do you say? Let’s talk. I believe an employee/employer relationship should and can be more of a mentor/mentee relationship. I am always willing to teach and I am always more than willing to learn.
Please show up to your interview/meeting if we end up connecting and scheduling a time to meet. I value your time and expect you to value mine.
My interview process starts with a phone call to ask a few preliminary questions, followed by a second in person interview. The in person interview also includes a 30-45 minute practical interview and can take up to 90 minutes to 2 hours.
Let’s talk about your ideal job:)
