POSITION DESCRIPTION IMAGERY ANALYST
Job Title: Imagery Analyst
Reports to: Deployed Program Manager
Classification: Exempt
Time Commitment: Full-Time Rotational
Location: Bogota, Colombia
Position Summary
The Imagery Analyst exploits synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery and Geiger-mode LiDAR data collected by the program's special mission aircraft to produce geospatial intelligence in support of counter-threat operations within the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility. The Analyst works closely with the Deployed Program Manager and Liaison Officers (LNOs), reporting mission status, addressing product quality concerns, and coordinating other project-related items.
Essential Functions
- The candidate will have experience reviewing, exploiting, and analyzing airborne SAR imagery and LiDAR point-cloud data, and working with geospatial and geolocation tools and applications.
- You will leverage sensor-derived imagery, all-source intelligence, and other source data to exploit, identify, monitor, and analyze concealed, camouflaged, and buried targets, as well as emerging trends and dynamic events, in order to solve intelligence problems.
- Additionally, you will apply geospatial exploitation techniques to produce imagery-derived and LiDAR-derived intelligence products and assessments.
- You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts.
Minimum Qualifications/ Education/Certifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess an active Top-Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) access.
- Must be able to maintain government eligibility requirements.
- Meet regional entry requirements for deployment.
- Must have a valid U.S. passport with no less than six months remaining.
- Must be willing and able to deploy OCONUS.
- Must be willing and able to work irregular hours in a military environment.
- Ability to successfully pass a drug test.
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Cartography, Geographic Information Systems, or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of formal military imagery/geospatial analysis training (e.g., U.S. Army 35-series, U.S. Air Force 1N1) and relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 2+ years of relevant experience, to include: working in production teams; knowledge of and experience with digital cartography, image processing, and computer technology; and knowledge of geographic information systems, geospatial production techniques, and digital data formats within a military or Intelligence Community environment.
- A minimum of two years of hands-on experience performing imagery analysis and exploitation of airborne SAR and/or LiDAR data against ground targets.
- Must be able to develop imagery-derived intelligence products that incorporate multiple sensor and data sources.
- Must have experience using geospatial exploitation and geolocation tools to detect, identify, and geolocate targets of interest.
- Must have previous experience producing time-sensitive intelligence reports.
- Must be able to communicate analytic assessments clearly and succinctly, both written and orally.
- Familiarity with the SOUTHCOM AOR.
- Familiarity with airborne ISR sensor systems, including SAR and/or LiDAR mission payloads.
Preferred Skills
- Previous geospatial data production experience (in particular, experience with large Government Agency geospatial and cartographic data, products, and services), especially the exploitation of feature and terrain data derived from airborne SAR, LiDAR, or satellite imagery and other sources.
- NGA GEOINT Professional Certification (GPC) or GISP is a plus.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus, given the SOUTHCOM AOR.

Travel
- Travel and rotational deployment throughout the United States and to locations outside the United States, including austere locations, are required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a variety of physical conditions, including austere conditions.
- Ability to wear a respirator or other required safety equipment.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
