- Head Golf Professional
Description
The King and Prince Golf Club is entering a defining new chapter, and we are seeking a thoughtful, service-driven Head Golf Professional to help bring it to life.
Located on St. Simons Island, The King and Prince Golf Club is rooted in coastal Georgia and shaped by tidal marshes, live oaks, and the easy rhythm of island life. Following a transformative renovation led by Beau Welling Design, the club will reopen as a refined private golf experience centered on connection, craftsmanship, and coastal ease.
This is a rare opportunity to help build and lead the golf operation of a modern coastal private club from the ground up, thoughtfully, intentionally, and with long-term vision.
The Opportunity
As Head Golf Professional, you will lead the day-to-day golf operation while helping define the standards, culture, and member experience during one of the most important moments in the club’s history.
You will collaborate closely with the Director of Golf, ownership, and club leadership to establish a seamless and elevated golf experience, from daily play to tournaments, instruction, and member engagement. Your role will be both operational and relational, ensuring excellence in execution while fostering meaningful connections with members.
This is not simply an operational role. It is an opportunity to help shape how the game is experienced at The King and Prince Golf Club, refined, welcoming, and deeply connected to place.
Requirements
The Kind of Leader We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is composed, detail-oriented, and deeply committed to service. You understand that great golf operations are felt more than seen, defined by consistency, anticipation, and care.
You lead with presence rather than volume. You are comfortable managing complexity, but you prioritize clarity and simplicity in the member experience. You value relationships, take pride in your craft, and understand that a private club is ultimately about belonging.
Excellence does not need to be loud. The experience should speak for itself.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a private club or high-end golf environment
- Demonstrated leadership in golf operations, member programming, and team development
- Strong understanding of tournament operations, instruction, and golf systems
- Experience with golf technology platforms (tee sheets, handicap systems, POS)
- PGA membership required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
