Turtleback Mountain Golf in Elephant Butte, NM is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Guest Service Attendant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Applicants must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. They also must be able to "close" as late as 8:00pm-8:30pm and "open" as early as 5:30am-6:00am.
Overview
Guest Service Attendants are our front lines of customer service, greeting guests outside, upon their arrival, and assisting them to their labeled golf cars. Two major purposes of the position are 1) golf car cleanliness and preventative maintenance and 2) retrieval, cleaning, and replenishment of practice facility practice balls. Guest Service Attendants spend most of their time outdoors and must be able to handle the elements.
Essential Duties:
- Participates in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility.
- Assists customers with questions and concerns and in locating items.
- Assists with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area, and parking lot.
- Assists in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings.
- Provides sincere and courteous service to all guests with items such as bag handling and club cleaning.
- Maintains the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the podium and bag drop area.
- Maintains the cart storage area and cart wash down area in a neat, clean and orderly condition.
- Prepares golf carts for play following the standards of Troon Golf.
- Assists in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, speed of play and so forth.
- Performs range maintenance such as presenting practice facility with practice balls, bag stands, den caddies and/or ball pyramids, and maintains ball inventory over the course of the day.
- May direct start of play.
- Maintains accurate records of golfers renting clubs.
- Services the customer who is renting golf clubs and cleans rental clubs upon return.
- Assists with food and beverage activities.
- Cleans golfers clubs upon completion of play.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently will stand and walk; uses hands; talk or hear.
- Regularly will reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally may sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch.
- Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
- Occasionally works in extreme cold or heat (non-weather).
- Regularly works in areas near moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally may come into contact with toxic or caustic chemicals and may risk electrical shock.
- Noise level is moderate.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
