Overview

Golfzon Social Oak Brook is seeking a driven Golf Instructor to teach golf fundamentals in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment and contribute to the growth of the instruction program.

Experience Required

• PGA credentials preferred but not required.

Essential Responsibilities

• Teach the fundamentals of the golf swing as established by the Director of Instruction.
• Design and implement marketing ideas to promote golf instruction and generate additional revenue.
• Oversee range set-up and equipment and help maintain the driving range, lesson tee, and storage shed.
• Promote all club golf activities, including junior golf clinics.
• Instruct and assist in the development of qualified and certified assistants and educate teaching staff with monthly clinics and/or roundtable sessions.
• Coordinate and teach clinics.
• Act as a liaison between Troon and the Club regarding golf school schedules, needs, and equipment.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all teaching aids on property, including video equipment.
• Assist in the creation of lesson plans.
• Interview, hire, train, plan, assign, and direct work; evaluate performance; reward and discipline associates; address complaints and resolve problems.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
