Description
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Middle Atlantic Section of the PGA of America (MAPGA) is seeking a visionary, strategic, and entrepreneurial Executive Director to lead one of the PGA of America’s premier Sections into its next chapter of growth and influence.
Serving as chief executive and public-facing ambassador of the MAPGA, the Executive Director will translate the Board’s ideas into action – fostering a high-performing culture and delivering exceptional value to over 1,200 PGA Professionals and Associates across Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and parts of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
This is an opportunity for an accomplished leader to shape the future of the MAPGA—not simply manage its present.
The incoming Executive Director will engage with the stakeholders, evaluate operations with a fresh perspective, and define a clear roadmap for the Section’s future. The successful candidate will unite members, staff, volunteers, industry partners, PGA of America leadership, allied associations, and community stakeholders to continue the growth of the Section.
Reporting to the MAPGA Board of Directors, the Executive Director will work in close partnership with the Board, Section Officers, committees, chapters, and volunteer leadership. The Executive Director will take responsibility for the organization's day-to-day operations, staff, financial performance, strategic initiatives, member services, partnerships, programs, and long-term organizational development.
The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable thinking strategically, building relationships, developing people, growing revenue, managing financial resources, and representing the MAPGA at the highest levels of the golf and business communities.
