Are you a visionary culinary leader with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences? Our prestigious luxury boutique hotel is seeking an experienced and innovative Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations and elevate our food and beverage offerings.
The Executive Chef is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational excellence of the culinary department at Hermitage Bay. The role works closely with the Hotel General Manager and Corporate Leadership to drive culinary innovation, profitability, operational efficiency, and brand consistency across all food and beverage outlets.
The Executive Chef holds full accountability for menu development, food cost control, labor cost efficiency, supplier consolidation and negotiations, and overall kitchen performance. This includes establishing and maintaining pricing strategies aligned with targeted food cost percentages, managing culinary budgets, and ensuring sustainable and profitable operations.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 5 years as an Executive Chef within luxury hotels or resorts, preferably 5-star properties.
Leadership: Proven experience managing and developing culinary teams of 30–50 employees, with strong people management and organizational skills.
Multi-Outlet Operations: Experience overseeing 2–5 F&B outlets, managing different culinary concepts and service styles.
Financial Management: Strong understanding of food cost, labor cost, budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, menu engineering and P&L performance.
Language: Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Caribbean Experience: Previous experience working in the Caribbean or a strong understanding of Caribbean culture, local workforce dynamics, sourcing and island logistics is highly desirable.
Culinary Background: Strong international culinary knowledge, creativity and experience delivering high-end dining experiences.
Personality & Leadership Style: A hands-on, hard worker, adaptable, approachable and disciplined leader, capable of building a positive team culture while maintaining high operational standards
