Description
Below is the job announcement we’ve used in the past, and we’re currently hiring for that position. However, GCI is about to undergo a massive transformation… and this position is too. GCI has built a digital platform that uses cutting edge AI to digitize and automate our research process. We’ve reduced the time it takes to build one of our reports from 45 to 20 hours, but potentially reduced the cost for the industry by 85%.
We’re going to sell this platform as a SaaS product and become a software development firm. A potential investor said that the Total Addressable Market is $2-3 billion and that we will likely capture a significant portion of it. You needn’t worry that the AI will replace you: I will need you to keep building the platform out and build other platforms for other industries that are ripe for AI disruption.
The following skill sets are listed in order of importance…
1. Enhanced due diligence and/or asset tracing
2. Exceptional intelligence and problem-solving skills
3. Advanced use of LLM coding
4. One or more additional languages
We are hiring for remote part-time positions that do not require travel. Pay starts at $30/hour, depending on experience. I’ll send you our platform demo video in reply to your resume.
Global Commercial Insights is a competitive intelligence firm that provides enhanced due diligence, asset search, and market research services to financial institutions (hedge funds, private equity, banks), global law firms, and multinational corporations. Our research discovers information around the world that is critical to our clients' development of a comprehensive understanding of their investment targets, opposing parties, and potential business partners. From executive background checks to asset searches to supply chain diagnostics, our comprehensive reports identify hard to find information that directly impacts our clients’ most important business decisions.
GCI researchers represent a range of backgrounds, but everyone is a top-notch researcher first. Our practitioners conduct research in proprietary databases, government document repositories, and via news and social media. Our work is highly unconventional and can range across widely disparate topics from month to month. Applicants who are broadly intellectually curious will thrive at GCI, while those who prefer to become subject-matter experts in one field would not find GCI ideal.
Our research process is primarily investigative in nature and requires superb deductive reasoning skills. The ideal applicant is capable of conducting research online at a professional level in English and at least one other language, and then synopsizing their results in business English. They should also be fluent in the digital realm.
These are ideals; anyone with superb deductive skills and a powerful work ethic should apply. This is the dream job for anyone who loves finding connections between seemingly disparate data points and creating a clear picture of their findings in a written report.
Please address expressions of interest to Matthew Hall at matthall6@globalcommercialinsights.com; our website is globalcommercialinsights.com. Please include a resume and any writing samples that were researched – at least in part – in a foreign language, required research on commercial topics, and were written in English. If you do not have a sample that meets all the aforementioned criteria, please provide a sample that meets as many as possible. Please use the following subject line for your email: 1099 DD Applicant.
