About Premier Golf Academy

Premier Golf Academy develops elite junior golfers and exceptional human beings. Established in 2016 and based at Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos, California, we exist for students who are serious about becoming champions and who aspire to play college and professional golf. The Academy offers a Full-Time Junior Golf and Academic Program (boarding and day), Advanced Camps, a Weekend Full-Time Program, and a Post-Grad Program. We accept a limited number of students so every player receives the attention the program promises. Families come to Premier because they want their child to train like a professional and grow like a champion.

Position Summary

The Director of Junior Golf Programs is the Director and Lead Instructor for Full-Time Golf and Academics, Advanced Camps, the Weekend Full-Time Program, and the Post-Grad Program. This person owns the success of those programs: instruction quality, staff execution, parent confidence, tournament preparation, college recruiting support, student performance, and student retention. Compensation is built so this employee is paid for program results - revenue, retention, and student performance. Full-time students should never feel they need extra lessons to get the coaching they already purchased.

Experience Required

Required Qualifications

• Played college golf and/or professional golf.
• Documented history of developing high-level junior golfers and/or professional players (college commits, national-level results, or tour / mini-tour players).
• Proven ability to run a structured player-development program and keep students in it.
• Comfortable as the public face of the junior programs with parents, coaches, and tournament directors.
• Strong organizer: staff schedules, semester calendars, tournament books, and recruiting timelines.
• Willing to work mornings, afternoons, weekends, and occasional travel as the junior calendar requires.

Preferred Qualifications

• PGA or LPGA membership, or equivalent high-level coaching credential.
• Experience inside a full-time junior academy, boarding program, or college golf staff.
• College recruiting network and familiarity with NCAA, NAIA, and junior-college pathways.
• Experience using launch-monitor data and video in a team teaching environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Instruction

• Serve as Director and lead instructor for all junior programs.
• Deliver professional instruction consistent with Academy curriculum and player-development standards.
• Own tournament preparation, tournament-day support, and post-event review.
• Build individualized development plans and track measurable progress
• Support college recruiting: target lists, video, coach outreach, eligibility awareness, and realistic pathway

Student Retention

• Own student retention for every program. Retention is a core duty of this role.
• Identify at-risk students and families early and act - communication, plan adjustments, staff alignment - before a student leaves.
• Protect the promise of the program so families stay because the product is working.
• Report retention by program each semester and lead the plan to improve it.

Staff, Scheduling & Operations

• Train, schedule, and supervise junior-program instructors so every session is delivered as designed.
• Build the semester calendar: practice, on-course days, fitness and mental sessions, testing, and tournament.
• Book and manage junior tournament entries and travel logistics for program events.
• Maintain attendance, progress notes, and parent-facing reports.
• Travel as needed for events, recruiting, or Academy representation.

Families, Culture & Growth

• Lead parent communication: regular updates, concerns, recruiting conversations, and in-person meetings.
• Support advertising and promotion of junior programs in coordination with ownership.
• Help enroll the right students. Fit and commitment matter as much as headcount.

Benefits

Compensation & Benefits

Pay is a base salary plus an annual bonus calculated as a percentage of base salary. The bonus is earned on a scorecard for junior-program revenue, student retention, and student performance.

Compensation

• $80,000 - $120,000, depending on experience and track record.
