Description

A healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a Director of AI Transformation & Strategic Initiatives to lead the development and execution of artificial intelligence and emerging technology initiatives across the organization. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape enterprise AI strategy and introduce solutions that improve member experience, operational efficiency, clinical decision-making, and overall organizational performance.

The role offers a hybrid schedule, with 2 days onsite in the office and 3 days working remotely each week.

The Director of AI Transformation & Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for:

• Identify and evaluate high-impact AI opportunities across clinical, operational, population health, claims, and member-facing functions
• Lead the development and implementation of AI pilots and strategic technology initiatives from initial assessment through execution and outcomes evaluation
• Evaluate AI technology vendors and strategic partners, including capabilities, integration requirements, privacy, security, risk, and expected ROI
• Partner with IT, Data Analytics, Clinical Operations, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure responsible and effective adoption of AI solutions
• Monitor advancements in AI, generative AI, machine learning, automation, and healthcare technology and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Health Administration, Data/AI, or a related field preferred
• 7–10+ years of experience in digital transformation, AI/ML, healthcare technology, innovation, or related strategic initiatives
• Experience leading AI pilots, digital transformation projects, emerging technology programs, and/or AI vendor partnerships
• Strong understanding of healthcare operations and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and CMS; health plan / healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
