Description

Exciting opportunity to shape the future of the City of South Lyon's historic downtown while also coordinating the redevelopment and reinvestment of the business community.  Collaborate with the business community and oversee numerous community events, farmers market and other initiatives.  Work in helping with the rebrand of the image of the community.  Lead contact for facade grants, recruiting volunteers and business recruitment and retention.  Handle the daily tasks of economic development and overseeing the Downtown Development Authority.

Requirements

• Minimum five years practical experience in fields such as:  budgeting, marketing, design, economic development, DDA management or nonprofit
• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in historic preservation, economic development, public administration or related field
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in office management skills
• Microsoft Office and Excel experience strongly desired
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and handle multiple ongoing projects
• Positive attitude
