Description

The Child and Family Support Specialist provides support and coordination of services for youth and families within the Intensive Foster Care and Independent Living Program. They assist with care planning, communication, and program implementation to ensure safe, effective, and consistent services. 

Requirements

Qualifications:

•       Associate’s degree in Human Services or related field required; bachelor's degree preferred. 
•       Experience working in social services, residential care, or foster care settings. 
•       Knowledge of group dynamics, behavior management, and trauma-informed care. 
•       Ability to build relationships with youth, families, and professionals.
•       Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

•       Provide support to youth and families, including coordination of services within the Intensive Foster Care and Independent Living Program.
•       Assist with admissions processes, including gathering information and supporting assessments of prospective residents. 
•       Support foster parents and caregivers by providing guidance, communication, and problem-solving assistance. 
•       Maintain communication with families, referrals sources, and team members to ensure coordinated care. 
•       Monitor resident progress, support implementation of treatment plans, and ensure compliance with agency and licensing standards. 
•       Assist with program operations, including facility oversight, documentation, and identifying areas for program improvement. 
•       Perform other duties as assigned.
