Job Purpose:
- The Catering/Deli Clerk at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for preparing and assembling catering orders with precision and care, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. This role involves assisting customers with their selections and maintaining food safety standards. Additionally, the Catering Clerk supports deli operations by slicing meats, stocking displays, handling orders, and providing friendly, efficient service to enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble catering orders 
- Ensure accuracy in fulfilling customer orders

Requirements

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:
- On-the-job training in food handling, customer service, and deli operations is provided.

Required Experience:
- Basic customer service experience
- Ability to handle food safely
- Strong communication skills

Preferred Experience:
- Previous deli, grocery, or catering experience
- Familiarity with food prep and slicing equipment
- Knowledge of food safety practices (e.g., ServSafe)
