Overview

Assists and coordinates golf activities and golf shop operations with the 1 st Assistant and Head Golf Professional. Works in a team environment to deliver the highest level of guest service and maximize revenue for the club. Follows the 4 S's: Service, Sales, Stocking and Security!

Experience Required

Apprentice of the PGA of America in good standing; Successfully passed the Playing Ability Test and registered in the PGM Program; minimum three years experience in the golf or customer service industry.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assists in the operation of the golf shop and golf course; performing duties that include answering phones, tee time reservations, tournament operations, golf lessons, retail merchandising, starting, marshalling, and all that involves customer service, security, sales, and
• Assists in maintaining a clean, stocked, and well-organized display of merchandise in the golf shop.
• Reconciles and balances cash drawer and daily shift revenues; prepares required deposit forms and reports.
• Provides a professional image and level of service to guests and vendors.
• Takes and monitors tee time reservations, assists in tournament setup and services, tour groups, and other advance bookings.
• Provides golf lessons to individuals, clinics, and groups as requested.
• Assists outside staff with daily operations, including greeter, starter, and cart return areas.
• Assists the retail department with physical inventories as assigned by the Director of Retail. Assists in monitoring and coordinating the purchases of the hard good inventory.
• Assists with individuals requiring assistance on the course, completes Incident Reports and notifies management and the proper authorities as needed.
• Maintains a playing ability befitting a golf professional.
