Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Assistant Golf Professional to join our team. This position is an excellent opportunity for a golf professional looking to grow their career in a supportive and dynamic environment. The Assistant Golf Professional will play a key role in delivering a premier golfing experience to our members and guests by supporting all facets of the golf operations.

Experience Required

Level 2, Level 3, Class A preferred

Level 1 may be considered based on experience

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Golf with planning, promoting and directing all golf activities professionally and enthusiastically.
• Responsible for assisting with daily golf operations.
• Take initiative with the daily operations to anticipate member and staff needs.
• Communicate effectively with members and staff.
• Leadership role with Outside Services Staff. This includes hiring, training, guiding, scheduling, and directing work.
• Enhance the customer service atmosphere that promotes the game of golf to meet the needs of the members. Ensure that the staff provides a high level of customer service.
• Ensure proper collection of charges and fees for all golf-related activities.
• Administer and enforce all rules and regulations, policies and procedures, as required by the facility related to applicable staff positions.
• Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.
• Assist in the creative content for all club emails, newsletters, and social media outlets.
• Maintain a close relationship with the Director of Agronomy and his staff.
• Play golf with members of all skill levels.
• Attend sectional conferences/meetings, merchandise shows, educational and professional shows to encourage development and to enhance quality and image of the club.
• Provide golf instruction through lessons and clinics to members.
• Junior Golf leader with scheduled clinics, tournaments, summer camps, and private instruction.
• Assist with all aspects of tournament operations with club tournaments and outside events.
• Perform other duties as required.
