Description
Step into a fast-paced operations role where your judgement, attention to detail, and leadership directly protect clients and the business. You will also have the opportunity to strengthen controls, improve processes, and leverage systems and digital tools to enhance service delivery for large institutional clients.As an Asset Servicing Announcement Capture Utility Manager - Associate in the Announcement Capture Team within Operations, you will manage the capture and maintenance of corporate action information from announcement through event completion. The team supports multiple internal lines of business serving large institutional clients, requiring strong understanding of market nuances and a disciplined approach to risk and controls across the event lifecycle. You will work closely with global partners-including middle office teams, client service managers, product partners, and regional processing teams-to drive timely issue resolution and measurable service performance.
Responsibilities
- Build deep understanding of voluntary corporate action events and related custody and clearing operational processes.
- Manage corporate action information capture at key stages through to event completion, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Execute business-as-usual workflows and deliver consistently high-quality outputs.
- Manage daily operations within defined operational parameters, maintaining a strong focus on risk and controls.
- Assess platform impacts on business-as-usual processing and lead identification and implementation of tactical and strategic technology and process changes to improve efficiency.
- Evaluate operational risks and drive enhancements to strengthen controls, particularly around manual processes, to reduce errors.
- Develop understanding of client needs and prioritize timely responses to client queries and requests for assistance.
- Coordinate across local and global operational teams to support efficient issue resolution and consistent service delivery.
- Communicate and influence upstream partners and stakeholders to improve outcomes and highlight operational performance.
- Support team leadership by motivating and developing colleagues and promoting a culture of partnership and accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree
- 7 years of experience, with proven responsibility for managing day-to-day operations.
- Understanding of asset servicing functions and the interlinkages between sub-processes.
- Strong analytical skills with independent, reliable decision-making and the initiative to drive change and strengthen controls.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate key risks and challenge daily processing issues with management.
- Proven experience driving process enhancements and initiatives involving digital tools at a regional and/or global level.
- Ability to work flexibly, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and support others.
