Overview

Ivanhoe Club is a private, member-owned facility located in Mundelein, Illinois, approximately 40 miles northwest of downtown Chicago.

Originally opened in 1991 as an 18-hole facility designed by renowned golf course architect Dick Nugent, Ivanhoe Club expanded in 2003 with the purchase of an adjacent property. The Club then partnered with acclaimed golf course architect Arthur Hills to create three distinct nine-hole courses, providing members with a unique and varied golf experience.

In addition to its championship-caliber golf facilities, Ivanhoe Club features an expansive driving range, comprehensive short-game facility, swimming pool, clay tennis courts, pickleball courts, and a vibrant year-round club environment.

Ivanhoe Club members play approximately 25,000 rounds of golf annually, supported by a robust tournament and event schedule running from mid-April through early November. During the winter months, members continue to enjoy the game with approximately 1,500 rounds played annually on three AboutGolf simulators located in the Club's main ballroom.

Experience Required

• PGA Member preferred
• Private club experience preferred
• Demonstrated goal of becoming a Head Golf Professional
• Proficient in point-of-sale, tee time, and tournament management software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Competent golf instructor and club fitter
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and member-service skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a collaborative golf operation

Essential Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for the golf operation in the absence of the Director of Golf
• Play a leadership role in the planning, execution, and administration of Ivanhoe Club's robust member tournament schedule
• Serve as the lead coordinator for nine Monday golf outings throughout the season
• Receive, review, and accurately enter merchandise invoices
• Oversee one of the Club's two Ladies Golf Leagues
• Work directly with the Club's Player Development Professional in the planning and execution of junior golf programming
• Open and close the Golf Shop during the active golf season, April through December
• Open and close the simulator facility during the winter season, January through March
• Provide exceptional service to members and guests while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism
• Assist with all aspects of daily Golf Shop operations, including merchandising, member services, tournament administration, and special events
