Company Profile

Preserve Montana

Company Overview

Preserve Montana is the statewide nonprofit preservation organization serving Big Sky Country. Headquartered in Helena, Montana, we work with people and communities across Montana to protect historic places, traditional landscapes and cultural heritage. We accomplish this work in four program areas: Advocacy, Education & Outreach, Documentation and Restoration & Training.

Company History

Founded by a group of passionate historians and architects, Preserve Montana has worked to preserve historic places that hold our stories and shape who we are as Montanans since 1987. Like many Western states, our legacy is one of rural and small-town independence. However, we believe that communities are strongest when they join together toward a common goal. To that end, we conduct outreach efforts in all corners of our state and connect people to expertise and information that will help them preserve the places of their past, present and future.

Preserving Montana's history lends character, vitality and a sense of significance to our communities that can'tbe engineered or replaced. Preserve Montana provides world-class services, trustworthy advice and professional support to ensure that Montana's heritage, land and places remain intact for generations to come.

Notable Accomplishments / Recognition

Preserve Montana is a regional leader in historic preservation trades training.
