Danvers Electric is committed to providing high quality, reliable and affordable electricity and other related services to its customers. We strive for operational and customer service excellence through the efforts of town officials and our dedicated employees.

The Town of Danvers is one of select few agencies who have a Smart Grid system which services over 13,000 customers spreading over 13.6 square miles. The Electric Division maintains more than 6,000 utility poles while ensuring they provide top electrical service to the residents of Danvers.

Company History

Danvers Electric was the first publicly owned Municipal Light Plant in Massachusetts and has been serving our customers since 1889. Danvers currently holds the RP3 - Diamond (RP3) and Smart Energy Provider (SEP) designation from the American Public Power Association - a distinction held by less than 10% of public power utilities.
