Company History

The City of Medford was incorporated on February 24, 1885, and has grown into Southern Oregon’s regional center for public services and civic infrastructure. In 1927, Medford became the county seat of Jackson County, reinforcing its role as a hub for government and community services in the Rogue Valley.

Today, Medford operates as a full-service municipal government. The Medford Police Department is a key part of that work, partnering with the community and regional agencies to support public safety with professionalism, accountability, and respect.
