Deputy Campaign Manager
Stop the Ban (STB) is a campaign - made up of a statewide coalition of organizations and concerned citizens - working to defeat Amendment 3, a Missouri constitutional amendment that would overturn the 2024 reproductive freedom ballot measure passed and ban abortion again in nearly all cases.
About the Role
The Deputy Campaign Manager works directly with and assists the Campaign Manager in running the day-to-day operations of a statewide campaign. This person supports the Campaign Manager across internal organization, paid media approvals, and logistics, helping ensure the campaign runs smoothly and stays on schedule. This is a senior role requiring significant prior campaign experience.
This position is full time and based in Missouri. We will consider applications on a rolling basis until the role is filled, so interested candidates should submit their applications as soon as possible.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Campaign Manager with implementation of strategy and priorities across the campaign
- Support Campaign Manager & Senior Staff in executing and ensuring cross-collaboration between department plans
- Assist the Campaign Manager in managing the paid media approvals process, including creative review, sign-off timelines, and vendor coordination
- Compile materials and updates as needed to be distributed to the broader team
- Keep the campaign organized internally: track deadlines, deliverables, and follow-ups to keep the campaign accountable and on schedule
- Manage office logistics and campaign inventory, including literature, yard signs, office supplies across the state
- Support scheduling for campaign, meetings, and events as needed
- Support onboarding and basic logistics for staff
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ election cycles of political campaign experience, including experience in a senior staff or department director role, ideally with a background in Operations or Communications
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and shift priorities quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Strong track record of seeing tasks through to completion
- High attention to detail, particularly around deadlines, logistics, and documentation
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and tight timelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience producing internal and external-facing communications
- Willingness to work long, irregular hours, including nights and weekends, with travel as needed
- Must have access to a laptop, smartphone, and car
Preferred Qualifications
- Statewide or ballot measure campaign experience specifically
- Experience managing paid media production and approval processes
- Experience managing staff and cross-department operations under deadline pressure
- Missouri ties, understanding of Missouri politics, and experience working with Missouri based organizations
