Learning Links is seeking a Therapy Manager to lead our Therapy team during a parental leave contract. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference - not only in the lives of children with communication needs, but in the capability and confidence of the clinicians who support them.
For over 50 years, Learning Links has partnered with families and schools to remove barriers to learning. As Therapy Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring our Speech Pathology services remain high-quality, sustainable and impactful.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will provide strong clinical and operational leadership to our Therapy team, including Team Leaders, Supervisors, Speech Pathologists and Therapy Aides. This role balances purpose and impact with performance.
You will:
- Work directly 1-2 days per week with clients and families in our clinics, over zoom, and/or in school programs
- Build leadership capability across Team Leaders and Supervisors
- Strengthen evidence-based practice and clinical governance
- Set clear expectations and actively manage performance
- Ensure utilisation and revenue targets are achieved
- Retain and grow school partnerships
- Identify and manage risk early
- Contribute to the sustainability of a respected not-for-profit organisation

What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Ensuring therapy services deliver measurable, evidence-based outcomes
- Planning supervision, professional development and quality monitoring
- Managing utilisation, workforce capacity and budget performance
- Leading courageous and constructive performance conversations
- Ensuring compliance with clinical governance and regulatory standards
- Working cross-functionally with Client Services teams (Psychology, Education, Early Education, Products) and support teams (Customer Support, Finance, Marketing, People & Culture, and Leadership)
- Supporting the retention and expansion of school partnerships
- Recruiting and training new staff as required

About You
You are an experienced Speech Pathologist and leader who is ready to lead with clarity, courage and care. You bring:
- Recognised qualification in Speech Pathology (Bachelor or Masters)
- Current Certified Practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Minimum five years’ experience in paediatric practice
- Demonstrated experience supervising clinicians and embedding evidence-based practice
- Experience managing staff
- Experience managing utilisation, service capacity and budget performance
- Strong performance management capability
- Confidence in using data to inform decisions
- The ability to balance compassion and care with accountability
- You understand that high-quality services require strong systems, clear expectations and disciplined follow-through.
Salary & Contract Details
This is a full-time parental leave contract from May 2026 to June 2027.
We offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience, aligned to senior allied health leadership roles in the not-for-profit sector. Superannuation is paid at 12%. Salary packaging benefits are available up to ($18,549)
This role requires travel to our Learning Links sites at Bella Vista, Peakhurst, Alexandria, Liverpool and Gledswood Hills, with travel to schools and community centres as needed.
Travel costs (tolls and kilometres) are reimbursed.
