Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles (JBBBSLA) is currently seeking a talented individual for Grant Manager. The ideal candidate is a strong and compelling writer who possesses excellent organizational skills and is meticulous with details, follow-up and juggling multiple deadlines and priorities. The position will interact with all program areas – Youth Mentoring, Camp Bob Waldorf, and College Access & Success - to shape and articulate the work of the JBBBSLA into successful grants. The Grant Manager will create an annual strategy to reach grant fundraising goals in collaboration with agency priorities and funding needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement annual grants program to reach fundraising goals.
Research new grant funding opportunities from a variety of funding sources: government, corporate, public, and private foundations.
Prepare and complete all grant applications and proposals on a timely basis.
Write compelling and emotionally engaging grant proposals, aligning with organizational goals.
Create grant reports and ensure all programs adhere to grant funding guidelines.
Work collaboratively with program directors and development staff to gather program information for grant proposals and reports.
Maintain accurate records within the donor database and shared file system.
Create and implement a stewardship program to develop strong relationships with funders that promote increased engagement and funding.
Gather and organize budget information, supporting documentation, and other pertinent forms for use in proposals and reports.
Other duties as assigned.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
JBBBSLA offers a compensation package that includes a competitive salary range commensurate with experience ($85,000-$95,000). We enjoy a fun office environment, and a fantastic team of people dedicated to the meaningful work we do.

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of grant writing and management experience.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the successful development and execution of grant campaigns, fund development, and relationship building.
Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills, with experience managing multiple projects at a time.
Experience writing and managing government grants.
Exceptional writing and editing skills.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office products and Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities, create efficiencies, and achieve goals.
Knowledge, understanding, and ability to perform all aspects of the job.
Strong commitment to the mission and programs of JBBBSLA.
Excellent research, analysis, and reporting skills.
Ability to work cooperatively and collegially with others.
