The Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association (DLGA) is seeking a dedicated and driven person to lead its fundraising efforts. The DLGA is the only organization solely focused on electing Democratic lieutenant governors and candidates each year. We ARE the Democratic bench: The DLGA supports the most diverse group of statewide elected officials in the country. In 2022, the DLGA helped elect a historic number of Democratic LGs, 25.
The ideal candidate would have experience with corporate and individual fundraising, have at least three cycles under their belt; and run a large-scale fundraising program.
Responsibilities:
- Manage DLGA Corporate membership program
- Initiate DLGA individual membership program
- Oversee digital fundraising program
- Organize and execute two large conferences annually
- Coordinate principal call time with DLGA Electeds
- Work with Executive Director and compliance firm to ensure all protocols are being met
- Maintain DLGA database
- Coordinate communications with DLGA Elected and their staffs
- Assist with candidate recruitment
Requirements
Desired qualifications:
- Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting Democratic values and causes
- The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, will have worked on a state level race and/or with a party committee, have experience working with NGP and will have a minimum of 3-5 years of strong finance experience
- Proven track record in managing a major donor fundraising program, with particular emphasis on Democratic politics
- Experience managing staff and consultants
- Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skis
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently but collaboratively
- Ability to manage multiple projects successfully and work well on multiple deadlines
- Intuitive understanding of social networking
- Excellent customer-service skills, detail-oriented and dependable
- Considerable experience managing multiple events simultaneously, both large and small
- Experience coordinating communications and branding strategy with fundraising efforts
- Grace under pressure
Exact title and salary dependent on experience. The position will begin as remote, but will shift to a hybrid DC based position as the team grows this cycle.
