| Position Summary | University Place Hotel and Conference Center is seeking three (3) On-Call Intermittent Banquet Attendants at 0.4 FTE each to join our in-house team. In this role, you will ensure the seamless execution of events throughout the year. Hours vary significantly based on business needs, ranging from 0 to 40 hours per week.
This position is responsible for providing high-quality service during banquets, meetings, and multi-day functions. Duties include everything from efficient room setup and professional food service to refreshing spaces, breaking down setups, and assisting with dishwashing. By maintaining our in-house standards of excellence and operational reliability, you will play a critical role in ensuring a consistent, positive guest experience and supporting the overall success of University Place Hotel. |

| Minimum Qualifications from Classification | -One year of experience in a commercial food service utility. |

| Additional Minimum Qualifications for this Position | Required Education: - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Oregon Food Handler's card.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Ability to follow instructions, either through written forms, such as Banquet Event Orders and workplace procedures and policies, and/or verbal instructions from the assigned supervisor.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to ensure safety and service standards.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull banquet equipment such as heavy tables and chairs, loaded carts, etc., weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift (up to 8 hours per shift when needed)
- Sufficient communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Must be comfortable with a fluctuating work schedule that sometimes includes early mornings (as early as 5:30 am), late nights (as late as 10 pm), weekends, and holidays, and understand that consistent hours are not guaranteed.
- A proven track record of punctuality and a professional and service-oriented attitude towards all guests and team members.

| Preferred Qualifications | - Valid OLCC license.
- Maintain a minimum availability of two (2) days per week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as business needs arise. Candidate must be responsive to scheduling requests once business needs are identified.
