OverviewGreen Garden and Players Elite Golf Academy is seeking a motivated and energetic Assistant Golf Professional to assist with all aspects of junior player development, group instruction, and individual coaching. This position is ideal for an instructor who is passionate about teaching, enjoys working with competitive junior golfers, and wants to grow within a high-performance training environment.
The Assistant Golf Professional will work directly alongside Michael Camastro and academy staff in delivering structured golf instruction focused on long-term player development, tournament preparation, scoring improvement, and overall athletic performance. The role includes assisting with junior academy training sessions, competitive player development programs, supervised practices, camps, clinics, and individual lessons.
This position requires strong communication skills, professionalism, energy, and the ability to create a positive learning environment for junior golfers of various skill levels. The ideal candidate must be dependable, organized, and willing to learn modern coaching methods utilizing technology such as launch monitors, video analysis, and performance-based training systems.
The Assistant Golf Professional is expected to represent the academy in a professional manner while helping maintain the academy's culture, standards, and commitment to player improvement both on and off the golf course.
Experience Required
- Previous experience working with junior golfers preferred but not required.
- Background in golf instruction, competitive golf, junior programs, camps, clinics, or group instruction is a plus.
- Playing experience at the high school, collegiate, or competitive amateur level preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work positively with junior golfers and parents.
- Must be motivated, dependable, organized, and willing to learn the academy's coaching and training systems.
- Interest in long-term player development, tournament preparation, and modern coaching methods.
- Experience with technology such as launch monitors, video analysis, or performance training systems is beneficial but not required.
- PGA Associate status or interest in pursuing PGA Membership is encouraged but not mandatory.
- The ideal candidate is someone looking to grow into a long-term teaching professional role within a high-performance junior golf environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with all junior academy group instruction, competitive training programs, camps, clinics, and supervised practice sessions.
- Provide professional instruction during individual lessons under the direction and standards of the academy.
- Help develop junior golfers in all areas of the game including full swing, short game, putting, course management, practice habits, and tournament preparation.
- Arrive prepared for all lessons, classes, and academy activities with structured lesson plans and training objectives.
- Maintain a positive, energetic, and professional learning environment for all students and families.
- Assist with player evaluations, skill assessments, and progress tracking within the academy programs.
- Support academy operations during training sessions including setup, breakdown, student organization, range management, and training station preparation.
- Utilize academy technology and training systems including launch monitors, video analysis, putting analysis systems, and performance tracking tools.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, staff members, and academy leadership.
- Reinforce academy coaching philosophies, practice expectations, and player development systems consistently throughout all instruction.
- Monitor player safety, conduct, and professionalism during all academy activities and training sessions.
- Assist with on-course coaching, tournament preparation, and supervised practice sessions when scheduled.
- Promote the academy and personal instruction services in a professional manner to help grow lesson programs and student enrollment.
- Maintain professionalism in appearance, communication, punctuality, and overall conduct while representing Players Elite Golf Academy .
- Work collaboratively with Michael Camastro and academy staff to provide a consistent coaching experience for all players.
- Continue developing coaching knowledge and teaching skills through ongoing education, observation, and academy training methods.
