About the Role
Join us as Senior Manager, Internal Audit with AIA Investment Management!
With strong Data Analytics skillsets, the investment audit specialist will play a crucial role in supporting our Group Internal Audit (GIA) become a digitally enabled and data-driven internal audit team providing proactive assurance to management.
This role will provide key analytical support to the GIA team, enhancing audit efficiency and effectiveness through data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Provide value-adding audit and business insights from data analysis using data analytic tools.
- Design, development, testing and documentation of data modelling (includes data sourcing, data preparation, data transformation, and modelling) to assist in population and scoping analysis, sampling, testing, and issue impact justification.
- Support routine data analytics (DA) using tools such as SQL, Python, Databricks and Tableau, as well as from advanced analytics, such as unsupervised and semi-supervised machine learning to detect unusual or anomalous patterns.
- Support ad-hoc or specialised assignments as needed.
- Implement and maintenance of data in the GIA data warehouse.
- Support audit engagements by scripting of data analysis procedures in SQL or Python using Databricks or Tableau platform, focusing on key risks and/or controls specific to the audit processes in scope, and uncovering meaningful insights for the audit team and management.
- Provide insight and guidance on the interpretation of reported exceptions/analytics outputs so that appropriate actions can be taken by the audit team.
- Support audits within the AMCs network in accordance with the annual audit plans approved by the AMCs' Boards and/or Local Audit Committee.
- Prepare the working papers, draft audit reports, and other deliverables to meet internal standards and assignments are completed within budgeted time.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of audit working experience (preferably Investment Banking/ Asset Management) with 2 years of experience in performing/leading analytics in a team
- Minimum Bachelor's degree. Major in Computer Science/ Data Analytics or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Minimum one year of data analysis and/or programming experience. Data Science knowledge would be an advantage (basic understanding of statistics - Correlation, Regression)
- Good understanding of analytics and techniques, and proven ability to understand problem statements and identify opportunities for use of analytics.
- Technical proficiency in SQL, Python, data processing, data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) is essential.
- Proficient in Machine Learning techniques, such as unsupervised machine learning, graph analytics is preferred.
- Knowledge of spark/Databricks is preferred.
- Strong project management and organisation skills.
- Excellent analytical, written/verbal communication, problem solving, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet milestones within time, cost and quality constraints.
- Ability to adapt to changes quickly and multi-task.
- Works well in a team environment.
