POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Investment Research Analyst is a key member of the Investment Management Group, playing a critical role in the firm's investment decision-making process. This individual will play a meaningful role in conducting comprehensive due diligence on investment managers, contribute directly to tactical and strategic asset allocation, and develop differentiated research and analysis. The Senior Analyst is expected to formulate and defend investment ideas and contribute substantively to Investment Committee discussions. This role is ideal for a proactive and intellectually curious professional looking to take on greater ownership and drive investment outcomes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Investment Due Diligence
Contribute to end-to-end due diligence processes on new and existing investment managers across public market asset classes.
Assist in development and presentation of investment recommendations to the Investment Committee, helping articulate a clear thesis based on deep qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Cultivate and manage relationships with external investment managers and industry contacts to maintain a robust pipeline of investment ideas and market intelligence.
Investment Research & Reporting
Contribute directly to the development of the firm's capital market assumptions and asset class research, informing portfolio positioning.
Assist in development and authoring insightful market commentary, white papers, and client-facing materials that communicate the investment team’s outlook and strategy.
Assist in research initiatives on new asset classes, investment themes, or custom client requests.
Investment Management Group Support
Proactively identify and lead projects to enhance the team’s research process and efficiency.
Collaborate with client-facing teams to provide sophisticated analytical support for business development and complex client requests.
Serve as a mentor and resource for junior analysts, providing guidance on analytical methods, due diligence best practices, and career development.
Participate in investment sub-committees; contribute to agendas, meeting materials and meeting minutes
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
BS/BA degree in Finance, Business, or related field
2+ years of direct experience in investment manager due diligence at a foundation, endowment, institutional consultant, insurance company, pension, fund-of-funds, or family office.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required. Experience with Morningstar Direct and Bloomberg preferred.
Deep understanding of investment theory, asset allocation principles, and portfolio construction.
Progress towards CFA designation preferred but not required.
High level of professionalism with the utmost respect for confidential matters
Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A strong sense of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
