Description
Sea Level Assets is seeking a Second Mate for its newly acquired landing craft, the Arctic Seal. Both the owners of Sea Level Assets and the vessel Arctic Seal have significant history supporting remote work in Alaska. Combining this ownership team with a proven vessel creates a unique opportunity for the right candidate. Proven acumen will result in relief Chief Mate opportunities. We operate in remote locations and as a team of adventurers, we function as a composite crew. Tasks may fall outside of standard industry roles.

Requirements
An ideal fit would have experience managing passengers, freight operations in remote areas, and local knowledge of the complex environment of Alaska. Work is project based and will vary every operational season. This job is suited well to someone who values hands on work, the pristine environment of Alaska, a dynamic workflow, and high wages compared to the lower 48. Anticipated operational season is April through November with sporadic breaks as the work allows. Crew development and training is a core component of the role.
Compensation
$650/day + $20/hour cargo time
Day rate begins and ends at home airport
Flights to and from home airport
Seasonal bonus structure
USCG License Renewal reimbursement
Possible winter maintenance work
Requirements
Applicants must posses a valid Master 100 GRT/Mate 200 GRT Near Coastal License
Proficient in maneuvering vessel through confined areas, in strong current
Valid US drivers license
Pass a background check
Pass pre-employment and random drug testing
Experience operating heavy equipment
