- Sales Manager
Description
The Sales Manager position is a full-time sales and management position that drives VAC’s daily
and long term sales operations of VAC’s retail gallery operations. This position is responsible for
all aspects of VAC’s art sales and is co-responsible for the commercial and artistic success of
gallery operations. Furthermore, the Gallery Sales Manager ensures that sales staff members are
trained, efficient, customer-centered and are upholding the quality, brand, identity and mission of
VAC (and the NPS and HVNP). The Sales Manager is a member of the Gallery Management
Team and plays an active role in strategic planning for long term financial viability of both
gallery operations and in the development of the sales team.
Requirements
Summary of Essential Job Functions
1. Responsible for management of all aspects of gallery sales operations including scheduling
hours of operations, scheduling and supervising sales personnel, and meeting sales goals.
2. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales operations, including day-to-day
administrative, personnel, customer and inventory needs of Gallery operations at multiple
locations including on-site and online sales.
3. Supports the day-to-day sales operations of VAC galleries through the development of the
sales team, quality customer service and clear processes and procedures.
4. Provides CEO, Curator and Sales Staff with sales and inventory reports in order to make
informed decisions regarding exhibits, new inventory, returned inventory, new artists and
mediums represented.
5. Personally provides, maintains and role models exceptional sales and customer service skills
within Gallery spaces; functions as a member of the Sales Team
6. Seeks opportunities to promote our galleries and artists and sell their work
