Overview

he Philadelphia Cricket Club is seeking great caddies for the 2026 golf season. We are looking for motivated and energetic people who would like the opportunity to work at one of the finest golf facilities in the Philadelphia area at a club with a rich history and tradition. We seek to be one of the leading caddie programs on the East Coast and we're looking for people who want to be part of that vision. The appropriate candidates will have previous experience caddying, significant knowledge of the game, and understand how important a caddie is in delivering a great experience to facility users. The candidate will also have a strong work ethic. There are ample opportunities for housing and transportation near the club - we can provide that information.

The Cricket Club is a 36-hole facility (Wissahickon - designed by A.W. Tillinghast, and Militia Hill, designed by Hurdzan/Fry) that does approximately 45,000 rounds per year. Members are required to utilize caddies every day before 3pm on Wissahickon and all unaccompanied play and outings are required to take caddies. Caddie usage is also significant at Militia Hill; in fact, players taking carts and a forecaddie pay the forecaddie a minimum of $50pp and the players are not charged a cart fee - this dramatically increases the demand for forecaddies at Militia Hil. The rates are as follows:

• Caddie - $65/bag plus gratuity (normally $90-$120; our best caddies earn more)
• Forecaddie - $30/pp plus gratuity (normally $50-$60; our best caddies earn more)

The club is open Tuesday thru Sunday for member play and we host large outings on virtually all Mondays. Caddies are considered an integral part of the 'Cricket Club Experience' and, as such, are treated with the same dignity and respect as all other members of the golf operation. All caddies are Independent Contractors and are required to sign and IC release prior to beginning a relationship with the club.

One of the advantages of caddying at the Cricket Club is the excellent playing privileges that are extended to full-time caddies. All full-time caddies are permitted, at the discretion of the golf professional staff, to play after 3pm, Tuesday through Sunday. We encourage our caddies to play the game to gain knowledge of both golf courses, as well as to advance their playing ability.
