Political Manager Position

Senate Majority PAC (SMP) is seeking a Political Manager for an in-person position for the 2026 election cycle. SMP is solely dedicated to building a Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate.

Position Overview
The Political Manager is a senior level position that reports to the Political Director and will work closely to support our political team across key battleground states and with national allies. This role requires sound political judgment, strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced campaign environment.

Responsibilities include:

     Helping coordinate with a broad network of allied organizations to stay aligned on messaging, strategy, and spending across Senate races.

     Tracking and synthesizing polling, media activity, and spending across competitive states for partners.

     Creating slide decks and presentations for internal briefings, partners, and stakeholders.

     Supporting shoots including recruitment with on-the-ground talent to appear in advertisements.

     Working closely with the research team to vet prospective talent and ensure compliance and risk mitigation for shoots.

     Maintaining and updating tracking documents to catalog investments, spending, and partnership activity across races.

     Collaborating with state tables and local partners to identify strategic partnership opportunities.

     Travelling as needed to support TV and digital shoots and other political priorities.

     Represent the organization on stakeholder calls and at events 

     Serving as a flexible, team-oriented contributor, assisting on a range of projects as campaign needs evolve.

Requirements

Qualifications and skills:

     At least 2 years of prior experience at a senior level in Democratic politics in campaigns, independent expenditures, or allied organizations is required.

     College degree preferred but not required. 

     Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

     Comfort working collaboratively across teams and with external partners.

     Willingness to travel and work irregular hours as required during the election cycle.

     Experience with project management, must love spreadsheets and trackers;

     Experience with paid media in the political or advocacy space preferred

     A team-first mindset and readiness to pitch in wherever needed.

Salary is $95K and SMP offers highly competitive benefits. Please note: this in-person position is based in Washington, D.C. In-person interviews are strongly preferred. Applicants who are not able to relocate will not be considered.
