Project Overview:
Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).   Project Location Overview: Brownsville, Texas is a city known for its diverse history, tradition, and rich culture. Job Summary:
In this role, you will work with the project team to assist in the preparation, establishment, and maintenance of schedule data for proposals or contracts. You will perform schedule development duties, monitoring, reporting, and analysis and assist with schedule recovery plans. Your work will enable Bechtel to optimize the scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project deadlines and objectives. #LI-CS1

Major Responsibilities: 

• Assists in the preparation of schedule data for proposals or contracts
• Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
• Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure
• Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
• Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
• Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
• Assists with schedule recovery plans 

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.
• Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
• Skilled in oral and written communication.
• Proficiency in using PC operating systems and several basic software applications.
• Proficiency in using multiple discipline-specific software applications currently used by Bechtel (e.g., PCWorks, Primavera, and Microsoft Project).
• Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
