Description
This Is Not a “Just Fill a Diary” Physio Role
We’re looking for an experienced private practice physiotherapist who knows this setting is where they do their best work, someone who values hands-on care, strong clinical reasoning, and genuine relationships with patients.
If you’re proud of the way you practise, enjoy thinking deeply about movement and pain, and want a role with room to grow, this may be a great fit.
The Role (What Your Week Actually Looks Like)
25–38 hours per week
Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings required
Other days flexible
A predominantly musculoskeletal private practice caseload
Involvement in group classes, including Pilates and strength & conditioning
Time to assess thoroughly, treat effectively, and follow patients through their care
This is a role for a clinician who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and continuity of care.
The Clinician We’re Looking For
You’re an experienced physiotherapist who has honed your skills over time. You’ve learned from challenges, refined your practice, and are ready to take the next step in a private practice setting.
You have:
Minimum 3 years private practice experience
Strong hands-on musculoskeletal & manual therapy skills
Exceptional clinical reasoning - you know why you’re doing what you’re doing
Outstanding communication skills - Patients trust you. Referrers remember you.
Confidence and ability to build and maintain your own caseload
Comfort leading and progressing group exercise classes
Most importantly:
You want to be excellent at private practice — not just employed in it. You see private practice as a long-term career choice, not a stepping stone.
What Makes This Role Different
At Complete Health & Wellbeing, clinicians are trusted to think, communicate, and treat in a way that reflects both evidence and experience. You’ll be supported - not micromanaged - and encouraged to develop your own clinical strengths.
We invest in people who want to:
Develop a clear clinical identity
Be known for the quality of their outcomes
Build long-term patient relationships
Grow professionally without burning out
Growth, Incentives & Long-Term Opportunity
For the right clinician, this role offers more than just a payslip:
Support & incentives toward post-graduate study or field specialisation
Mentorship alongside clinical autonomy
Clear 5 year career progression plan
Potential profit-share arrangement for the right long-term fit
A genuine pathway to something bigger than “just another physio job”, with opportunities to progress beyond the traditional “senior physiotherapist” ceiling into roles with greater clinical leadership, influence, and involvement in shaping the future of the practice
This Role Will Suit You If…
You enjoy hands-on, musculoskeletal physiotherapy
You value clinical reasoning and clear communication
You like building rapport and seeing patients progress over time
You’re looking for stability, growth, and meaningful work in private practice
Remuneration & Employment Terms
We offer flexible employment arrangements with generous, performance-aligned remuneration, tailored to the right candidate.
Remuneration reflects:
Employment arrangement (employee or contractor)
Experience, capability, and contribution to the clinic
Clinicians who consistently deliver excellent clinical outcomes, build strong patient relationships, and contribute to the growth of the practice are recognised and rewarded. For senior clinicians demonstrating leadership, initiative, and long-term commitment, there may be opportunity to explore a profit-share or incentive-based arrangement over time.
Importantly, this role offers long-term career progression beyond the traditional “senior physiotherapist” ceiling. High-performing clinicians can expand their influence through clinical leadership, mentoring, service development, and deeper involvement in the direction and success of the practice.
This is a role for a physiotherapist looking to build a career, not just hold a title.
Requirements
A tertiary level qualification in Physiotherapy and minimum 3 years experience in private practice
Hold current AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance
Hold current First Aid and CPR certification
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and a warm professional manner
Reliable and able to take initiative
Ability to work and collaborate as a part of a larger multi-disciplinary team
Drive and willingness to think outside the box and a commitment to continual professional development are a must.
